Wastewater treatment
Our wastewater treatment plant handles the entire volume of our production process.
This plant implements a totally organic process using a biological reactor and a chemical process. The reactor promotes the growth of bacteria, which decompose the organic matter present in wastewater.
In addition, the chemical degradation zone uses chemical precipitation (coagulation and flocculation), ion exchange, neutralization, absorption and disinfection (chlorination).
Management of empty phytosanitary containers
At Fontestad we adhere to the SIGFITO phytosanitary empty container management system, as well as collecting containers from other agricultural products via AEVAE (Spanish Association for the Valorization of Packaging).
Our facilities have three plastic collection points, both for our own orchards and for other suppliers.
