Wastewater Treatment<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Our wastewater treatment plant handles the volume of our entire production process.<\/p>\n

The treatment plant carries out a biological process through a biological reactor and a chemical process. This process uses the reactor to promote the growth of bacteria, which decompose the organic matter present in the wastewater. <\/p>\n

Additionally, we have a chemical degradation zone using chemical precipitation (coagulation and flocculation), ion exchange, neutralization, adsorption, and disinfection (chlorination).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Packaging Management<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

At Fontestad, we are committed to the responsible management of agricultural waste. We are part of a collection and recycling system for empty phytosanitary containers, as well as the collection of packaging from other agricultural products through AEVAE. <\/p>\n

Our facilities feature three plastic collection points, available for both our farms and our other suppliers, thus facilitating the proper treatment and recycling of these materials.<\/p>\n

By-product Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

Generated by-products that cannot be used in the juice industry are repurposed as animal feed, closing the cycle and preventing the waste of resources.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
